My sister told that it's been quite cold in Ottawa. HAHA. In Helsinki we have had -2...-10 Celsius for a week or so, so nothing cold. Very very very far from the records, which are around -38 Celsius (but those were in the late 80's).

Here we tell the temperature WITHOUT wind factors.

I think the record in finland is about -58 Celsius... it was a couple of years ago, IIRC.

It's funny, because I work in Palo Alto, but live in San Jose... Palo Alto gets the Marine Layer, but San Jose doesn't. So, while it may be overcast or rainy here, it may be sunny and dry just 20 minutes down the road. Very strange

I went to drop off my laundry. That's all. Five minutes there, five minutes back. Mind you, I had on a goose down coat, wool hat, scarf and leather gloves. I might as well have been naked for all that did! My fingers are so numb it's taking me forever to type this.
