I still prefer using cheat mode to get rid of the extra techs and then playing with the closed tech tree. I don't think having the cheat mode flag set is a big issue. We played the Silly game with it set for most of the game - I don't know why, except it was a silly game.

I agree that we should just get on with it. Hydey is despot. He can decide and then play the game.

Are we going to keep using this forum for the new game (my preference), or should we beg for it to be archived, and have a new one set up (boo, unless his Hydeyness thinks this is a good idea)?

Can we have a screenie of the terrain upon which the legions of Hydey find ourselves please?

sorry cavebear, havn't been able to check the forum since friday and I didn't want to tell yaroslav to start without agreement from the group.

An open tech tree is not that big of a deal to me, with 12 starting techs we must be in a bad enough start that an open tech tree will be no advantage.

I prefer RJMatsleepers option. Use cheat mode to get rid of the techs and leave the tech tree closed.

The last demo game was played with the Cheat mode flag set, I see no reason why this one can't be the same (unless we talk about it until yaroslav gets back and it is no longer an issue that is )

p.s. Though I did PM Shade when I first received the save (as Science Minister) and asked him about it

Four (4) whole days since Despot Hydey's post about starting the game and we have seen no cities, gold or tribute from other civs. Worse, we seem to see no world to conquor at all.

I am beginning to think our Glorious Leader Despot Hydey is afraid and not worthy of leading us!

I Cavebear, leader of some fierce warriors eager for riches and tribute do hereby declare myself desirous of being Despot and leading us all to glory, wealth and riches in a new world!
