Let's not hold up the game, we just need to pressure Mongoose to make the ruling that they must declare peace -- even if he makes a silly rule that Lucky will abuse. We just need the old war ended. We can deal with any new wars that GCA starts by attacking our galleys or using their galley in the lake.

Yeah, this has really gone on long enough... Lucky will continue to try to abuse and manipulate every agreement, every game concept, and every order from Mongoose.

We could try that 5 turns lull for peace idea but I don't think that it will work as we know that Lucky would simply attack on the 4th turn if he could, just to spite us.

Ulimately I think that we will be forced to either accept the situation - which will cripple us - or hit them with both gunbarrels (despite the fact that we don't have gunpowder quite yet ) - by having a UN vote whether to authorize Mongoose to expel GCA from the game unless GCA stops their behaviour and tactics.

If necessary, we might have to bring up the fact that 3 teams including us have strong opinions that GCA has cheated by reloading.

Forget that 66% rule, if 50+1% voted to expel them from the game, Mongoose would be forced to accept it.

And frankly, if Lucky and GCA are acting this way in this game, they are likely to continue to act this way in other games, so those in the leadership and membership on the C3C ISDG might want to consider calling for GCA's exclusion from other future ISDG games for their "poor sportsmanship behaviour".

I knew this would happen. Granted, it's an exploit, but it is still legal, because of that F-ing Galley. The thing to do, is to kill it and then get this done with.

For one thing, stop F-ing with the GWT galley and send our 2 galleys to the lake ASAP!

Then, after we have sunk that Galley, THEN we can say that they have to give us peace.

Let's just let this ride until then.

If Mongoose even gets a hint, that we plan on killing that galley, he will consider it a war act, and will stop any attempt in trying to persuade GCA in declaring peace.

Just keep presuring Mongoose to rule for peace.
No rules, or 5 turn wait, or anything that GCA can abuse to keep the war alive.

Just tell him to use his common sense.
Threaten him that we are considering using an exploit ourselves to counter their exploit.

I would much rather kill that pesky galley. That takes out a potential nuisance as well as gives Lucky no further excuse to be at war.

Once that galley is gone, no attacks will be possible for many turns, they will have to accept peace soon after that.

I do not think threatening to abuse our own exploit is the way to go.

I do think we should probally eliminate any GCA presence remaining on our side of the world ASAP. If we are arguing that we can't attack them and they can't attack us, while they have units nearby, then we are arguing on a false premise, thats the bottom line.

And personally I dont think they perpetual war for increasing our WW is as big of an exploit as GWT actually teleporting them across the world was, and if they teleported their units (including the army) across the world to use against CGN then IMO that is flat out cheating. I guess Im a bit daft, but until I saw the plan in the other thread to teleport a bunch of catapoults to CGN, I just did not realize what had happened to GCA's units, I had assumed a few were on galleys and the rest disbanded.

In case anyone was wondering, 11 turns had passed with no combat of any kind from when we first offered peace with CGA and the turn of the galley attack...

One risk of going the lake galley is they could a) see our galley coming for them and simply have us chase them around the lake or b) defend against our attack. Both events would require us to get a second and even a third galley in there in order to corner them again which would take 10-15 (min.) turns. All the while CGA could claim that combat is ongoing and refuse peace on those grounds. I dont want to spend up to 20 more turns in war because of one wounded galley that cannot escape. Worse, by this time CGA could even attempt to galley rush across the strait is an effort to keep at laest 1 galley somewhere near our units in order to claim hostilities are still possible (I think they still have at least 1 coastal city). We need to tell Mongoose that this is the current situation and get him to rule that this does not constitute "war". I would like to see a specific ruling ragarding the galley issue before CGA sees our galley in the lake.

IIRC, they attacked our galley last turn, as well as CFC attacking and losing to the galley in the lake.

And?

It still does not change the fact that what CiverDan says is true. 11 turns went by and we did not get peace from GCA. In other words, they still owe us peace and dragging their feet on the issue has led us down this path. CiverDan is right. GCA will forever find excuses to perpetuate our WW.

Chill out, I was just pointing out where CiverDan was incorrect. There has been a battle quite recently. True?

Sorry. I'm upset that we have to even talk about this.

"In case anyone was wondering, 11 turns had passed with no combat of any kind from when we first offered peace with CGA and the turn of the galley attack... "

CiverDan said that 11 turns had past since the last time we had any sort of combat with GCA, since they left our continent and we officially offered them peace, till the turn in which they attacked our Galley near GWT. He did not say that 11 turns (and counting) have passed since the last combat. He acknowledged the GCA Galley attack.

What his point was is that more than enough time/turns had passed without any combat that peace should have already been accepted by the time that GCA had the chance to initiate any combat.

Again, sorry if I sounded rude there.
