	C3C Team Chat Channel Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

For all of you mIRC users:

We have created a new channel to meet and chat on the Apolyton mIRC server.

Channel: #c3cisdg
password: holydoughnut

It hasn't been registered yet, nor is there any fancy security. I invite someone who knows how to do that to jump in and make it so.

It's registered now, under my name. There's a modelock now in place, so the channel should always stay secret, as well as retain the same password so long as someone is present in the room.

Togas and I are set to be the only ops. ConMcB25 will be added as an op when he registers his nick.

I have trouble connecting to the IRC channel. Using the pwd above, I get:

#c3cisdg unable to join channel (need correct key)

edit: nevermind. I got in now. Probably because of a spelling mistake in the pwd. But that never caused troubles before. Has the security setting changed recently?

Spelling mistakes in the password have never caused you trouble before? You should have to type it letter for letter.

Unless you had trouble even when you had the password correct, I don't think there's a problem with the security, which IIRC hasn't been changed anytime recently.

If it's password protected, it should only let you in if you have the correct password.

Well, if it helps, I've always found when I use the abreviated command /j #c3cisdg (an alias usually found with mIRC), it never works. Better to type out '/join' instead.

Well we still have a few cities left. Its a long story. But the way we had the chat room set up was that we had to register our nicknames on mIRC and then get added to a list to be allowed into the chat roon before we could log on to our chat room. Thus only the members of the team could come into the chat room and no one else. If you want to do that, Vondrack knows how to do it.

We just have it set up with a password, that way you don't have to register your nick. Just know the password, and you can get in. No security issues to date. If we do have one, we might consider something else.
