ive been wondering this also. one of those banks that have commercials on tv spells it banc.

The difference appears to be that one spells its name with a "c" as in "Banc", and the other with a "k" as in "Bank."

Obviously, bancs are only a mere imposter and wish to take your money.

there is a new bank which advertises on tv as America's (or was it People's) Banc with a -c. i forget what bank it was but the commercials are very common at least in philly.
