	Upcoming Potential Absence Support Apolyton, buy Alpha Centauri

It seems that my grandfather's Parkinson disease has grown worse and some decisions need to be made about long-term care, financial matters, and other concerns. So my father and uncle decided last week that they'll drive from DC up to Ohio in order to look into the finances, the insurance policies, and make those decisions. They've asked me if I can come along and lend what assistance I can. It would also give me an extended chance to spend time with my uncle, who's a sub-cabinet political appointee for the Bush Administration, so never a bad thing to talk to him given the types of things I want to end up doing.

Now there are complications with other obligations I have here in the DC area over the next week, but I think I can straighten those out in order to help with this.

On the assumption that I'll be travelling to Ohio this coming weekend (though that is still quite a ways from certain), I'd like to find a person who can potentially serve as Deputy Consul in my absence, should that be needed.

Any individuals looking to serve Apolyton and spread their wings a bit in the leadership are welcome, as well as any retired Consuls or others who would like to help out.

Eh Arnelos. My grandmother suffered from Parkinson's a few years ago. It is definitely not an easy disease to deal with, whether you have it or you're watching someone go through it.

Arnelos, thanks for the heads up. Hopefully everything will work out with your grandfather.

What part of Ohio? I travel to Columbus about 2 to 3 times a month to yell at a contractor.

South of Youngstown near the Pennsylvania and West Virginia borders.

It seems that our trip is being a bit rescheduled to occur Saturday through perhaps Monday rather than Thursday through Sunday. So I'll be here through Friday night, but might not be back until Tuesday.
