From the bugs that have shown up, in the 1.22 patch, I really don't think that I will be upgrading to 1.22. As it is, It would appear that there will likely not be anymore patches to this game and that is leaving me somewhat dissatisfied about C3C.
Atleast, I'm not SR, who will quit the game, because of that, I'll finish them up, but I'm not going to get involved in any more C3C PBEM games. And, I'm not going to upgrade, as I really see no reason to. If any of you want, you can do the dual Install thing, but I'm not even bothering downloading the patch.
We continue with 1.15, for now.

Actually, 1.22 should be the PBEM patch. It fixed the load bug, preventing intentional or unintentional opening of another player's turn. The blacked out screen at the beginning of the turn, while not preventing someone from intentionally using the arrow key exploit present in all versions of Civ3, does present a reminder to players not to do it unintentionally, which seems rather common.
The biggest problem has been upgrading old saves. From research done by alexman and not contradicted AFAIK, a mod generated game such as this should upgrade fine, provided it is done before someone starts to research radio. We've been playing with it upgraded for over a month in game 1 without noticing any ill effects yet.
The only new bug I've heard mentioned that would be relevant was about MGLs not being able to rush properly, but the person who reported it did not back it up with conclusive evidence, and I've not seen further discussion on it anywhere. I asked for anyone to dig up any evidence of bugs with 1.22 when organizing the Iron Civer and received no replies, and I would expect alexman and/or Trip to be well informed on this. If you have examples of relevant bugs E_T, I'd appreciate if you would point me to them...
