Quite frankly, I don't have the slightest bit of respect for a holier-than-thou attitude.
I do respect people who don't have the desire to use legal or illegal substances but don't condemn others for their use. And I respect people who like to try out stuff but realise it's not 'cool' and who know how to keep it moderated.
However, preachers seem to have a tendency to turn into the antithesis of their previous self. And annoyingly enough they tend have the same pride and preachy attitude for their drugs abuse as they used to have for their abstinence.

Of course this was after I knew her.

I'm 1/2 arabic (it's not just lebanese. really, my father's side originates in southern Egypt and the Sudan) and 1/2 Lithuanian. I am caucasian as are puerto ricans, india indians, etc.

and contrary to what it may seem, i identify far more with spanish people than black people (as i look extremely spanish). it's just that blacks have no representation on apolyton while there is a minimum of spanish representation, so i got to over-stress the whole black issue.

Back then Chicago was the music mecca for the alt-rock crowd. Plus there was a popular bar that punks went to less than 1/2 a block from where we lived (can't recall the name, che or bunnygrrl should know). Blackie Onassis from Urge Overkill DJed there every Sunday, and I met Fear Factory there when they were starting out. Most everyone I knew had met Al Jourgensen (though no one liked him). And I worked with Louise Post's brother for a while (from Veruca Salt). Plus a lot of up-and-comers and musical retirees. There was only a small degree of separation from alt rockers and the alt crowd back then.
