San Andreas Diplomacy - Winter 1902 EQ Support Apolyton, buy Alpha Centauri

Ok, this was a ***** to figure out and to make. Here we go. Sweden has a third coast, labeled (wc). Kiel has lost its canal, and now only has a port to the Baltic Sea. Denmark's been split into 2 coasts, with (wc) bordering the North, and (ec) bordering the Baltic. Skagerrak no longer borders Denmark. No travel between Bulgaria and Constantinople is possible. SnowFire and Defiant's orders were declared invalid since application of both orders would split the Ruhr into two. Ok, have fun.

Austria (Midshipman)
Constantinople and Bulgaria separate, Black and Aegean Seas connect.

England (Ruffhaus)
Skaggerak and Denmark separate, North Sea and Sweden (sc) connect

France (Napoleon)
Helgoland Bight and Kiel separate, Ruhr and Denmark connect

Germany (SnowFire)
Burgundy and Munich separate, Switzerland and Ruhr connect (invalid)

Italy (Defiant)
Munich and Ruhr separate, Kiel and Burgundy connect (invalid)

Russia (Victor Galis)
Rumania and Bulgaria separate, Black Sea and Serbia connect

Turkey (WarVoid)
Rumania and Bulgaria separate, Black Sea and Serbia connect

Ok, Victor brought up a point regarding Denmark and Sweden. Historically, armies AND fleets have passed freely between Denmark and Sweden, and that had nothing to do with Skageraak. But now fleets aren't so free anymore.

To remedy this problem, I have created the Trans-Scandinavian Canal. This works just like the Kiel Canal used to - fleets in Denmark border North, Helgoland Bight, and Baltic all at the same time, as well as Sweden. A fleet in Sweden's southern coast will border Skagerrak, Norway, North, Denmark, Livonia and Baltic. Denmark still has one coast, Sweden has two. Keep in mind, however, that a fleet in Ruhr cannot travel to Kiel - it must go through Denmark first.

Any questions?

Put an end to popups!

It's not an exception. A list of canals is in the rules that for some reason I foolishly didn't check after I saw your map.

9. Certain provinces are regarded as 'straits provinces'. If they possess coasts on both of the following sea areas, those coasts are regarded as one: Con with BLA & AEG; Kie with HEL & BAL; Den with SKA & BAL; Swe with SKA & BAL; Nap with ION & TYS

Enter the AD-FREE zone

Victor pointed out something else that should have been recognized back in the spring earthquake turn - Livonia has 2 coasts. Map corrected.

By the way, if you have any more "mapmaking" challenges such as Victor's Danube River, let me know. Doing the Danube way ahead of time really saved me time when I had to implement the actual orders.

How about the Thames or the Seine, anyone?
