Bi-particianship is a good thing. I don't hate Dems, I respect them, even though they're wrong... and they do the same for me

Micheal Moore is an idiot, not because he does and says what he does, but because he does and says what he does the he does... did that make sense? The moron makes a spectical of himself, points out problems with gov. and indust., and then smiles and gloats like a big fat cow. Bringing attention to an issue is one thing, exploiting the attention of pointing out an an issue is another... This is the same thing many of the conservative talk show dudes do, except that the talk show dudes attempt to hold educated conversations where as MM just yells at the issue.

True Conservatives would not seek to use government power to stop abortion. They would campaign to voluntarily stop it... or decrease it's presence by promoting safe sex.

I will seriously consider the Dem candidates. I wish the repubs would run some one other than Bush, but that ain't going to happen.

You would to if some guy with cameras and a loud mouth barged into your office accussing you of killing people. Moore does not encourage conversation. At least conservative radio talk show host encourage it. Though it generally ends with the host yelling "Your wrong, your stupid, get off my show!!!"

Be afraid! Be very afraid!

Bush has done some things that pander to the center-left. Health care and education being two areas.

But don't confuse our right and left with yours. While similar in some ways, our political scale doesn't translate well into the British or European continental political scale.

Tired of ads?

The one thing about Bush that I really dislike is that when he was running for office he said he was going to "cut the fat". Eliminate useless agencies and cut back on government waste. It seems that lasted for all of 6 months:P... Instead we have more waste, more government spending, more useless agencies, and basically more fat across the board. If some Dem promises to do the same thing while taking a more isolationist stand while continuing the war on terror, I'd vote for him/her/it...

So killing babies ought to remain a voluntary exercise? Most conservatives would think the state has a valid reason to intervene.

I agree with your comments on preventation, although I doubt promotion of safe sex will lead to a decrease in abortions.

Yet, we'll never know until it is tried.

I think abortion should be a voluntary exercise, but the government should be putting more effort to encouraging safe sex and/or lack of sex instead of pushing the money into social organizations that mimic Planned Parenthood. All they do is allow the child to get an abortion with any real education or hard lesson.

My concern is not in decreasing abortions, however, it is to decrease teen abortions. I blame the parents, and not the government, but if all the government wants to do is make such programs available than a pox on them!

So, I guess your right Ben. I think the state does have a valid reason to intervene since it is the state that educates and takes care of these children either behind the parents back or at the request of the parents.

Tired of ads?

I support abortion simply because there are already too many unwanted kids in the world. Why bring in more?
