Er, what? I got EU 2 a couple of days ago. After about 15 failed starts I finally have a grasp of how to run an economy.
I think I downloaded one patch, because I was pissed at CTDs, but they still happen. Is this one going to make that better?
Expect a newbie questions thread this weekend as I can't figure out combat.

What I'd most like to see is an AI that accounts for the attrition level of a territory it's sieging. Too many unnecessary losses reduce its performance too much.
It'd be nice if they gave some of the other trade goods a property too. Quantities of spices/china/tea (ie: luxuries) give you a small stability bonus perhaps?
Fur/wool reduces winter attrition, ... etc.

As this is a beta patch, probably not. Vanilla 1.07 though has proved rather stable on most machines. The only ctd's I still get occur infrequently when a colonisation attempt fails but that's about it.
If yours is repeatable you probably want to have a look through their support forum.

this new patch is supposedly way buggier than the last beta due to either the new straits code or new sounds.

Johan has discovered one of the reasons that the new beta crashed so much, there will probably be a new beta fairly soon.
