Grimdale, 2015.
Population: 23 707
Commercial Jobs: 4 426
Industrial Jobs: 6 188
It did not take long for the south-western peninsula development to thrive. (Although a small fire was started in the new industrial sector, the superbly efficient Grimdale Fire Services put it out before it did any damage)

As a momument to the success of this new district, a radio station was built on the tip of the peninsula.

A connection to Jonnyville was built. It's the busiest road in all of Grimdale, excluding the bridges.

Tassagrad had a connection built to it, too, but it doesn't seem to get a lot of traffic, for some reason.

While the past five years have been spent developing the peninsula, a new project has just begun on the eastern coast, with plans of bringing more industrial jobs and low-cost housing to Grimdale. A garbage dump was authorized aswell, and the collection of the huge amounts of back-logged garbage that has accumilated over the years has put the city into deficit, but we are sure it will recover quickly... to help in that effort, a federal prison was built. (unfortunetly, it is not connected tot he power grid yet, however.)

Vovanburg, 2015:
Residential: 33 154 (+80%)
Commerical: 6 240 (+42%)
Industrial: 5 652 (+42%)
The city is available on ADG's FTP.
As you can see, not much growth this time period. I pretty much had to lower the taxes to keep up the growth, but that paid off. In the last about six months, I got some reward buildings and apparently busted some pop cap, because all of my demands suddenly skyrocketed. I started rapidly expanding the indsutry and even got some high-techs. Also, the southern slums started growing like crazy and I just started rezoning them with med density, when I realized I overshot the target date by three months. So my city is now in March 2015... But any way, it looks like some good times are about to roll on.
Also, I built a bridge to the northern bank of the river (what's it called, btw?), and connected to Jonny and Tass. Hopefully, my prosperity will carry over. (Well, not to Tass, probably. )
EDIT: Also, forgot to mention something else: I'm getting really worried about traffic! My avenue that leads to ADGille has turned yellow! Another couple thousand residents, and I'll need a highway.

Alright, here is what I could come up with. I am not sure as to the status of ADGille and Tassagrad.

ADGille Times
6th January 2015
During the last 5 years, there's been a lot of changes in ADGille. One of the changes could best be described with what I heard a few days ago, when a little child was asking her mother "What's that huge yellow ball in the sky?", while pointing at the sun. Yes, finally we can see the sun again! Ever since the beginning of this city, dirty industries has taken over the center island of this town, polluting everything from water to air, but finally the air is clean, and the water is not brown anymore. Sure, there's still pollution in the city, but only half as much as it were 5 years ago. Dirty industries are on the way out of ADGille, while manufactoring and high-tech industries are on the way in. This change has cost a lot of jobs though, there's now 30% less industry jobs than 5 years ago, but this haven't hurt our situation, but helped it. Finally there's jobs for our well-educated sims, we believe this has cost lots of jobs in the other cities surrounding ADGille though.

Mayor Vovan, how did you get your commercial so high? My demand is always low and even when its high, I only can get low-desnity commercial. |
I don't know... When I played the last turn, my residential and commercial demands were pretty much in the gutter for most of the time... But then I lowered the taxes on the rich way down, and same thing for the commercial. That boosted my residential demand, and I got some rewards: the private school, a couple statues, and some others I don't remember. (The stadium, I think? Though I didn't build it yet.) Any way, as soon as I put all of those rewards down, all of my demands suddenly skyrocketed, and there was a ton of res/comm demand in the last six months. My commercial suddenly almost doubled (that's because in the previous years, since the last deadline, they actually left the city), because I zoned 'em all on medium right away, and I also zoned some more along the busy avenues; and my weallthy district got some high-wealth multi-story condos. The only thing that didn't grow were the slums, which I zoned with low density, and I was actually busy rezoning them, when I realized it was time to stop.
So.... Part of the reason I have lots of comm, is because I have lots of med/high wealth residents. They like comm. In fact, I noticed that even the comm in the slums is manned by the workers from the welathy district. Even though I have a little bit of commercial smack in the middle of the slums, not a single poor worker works there - they all go to the industry, and the workers drive from way far. So, get some of the more wealthy folks in there, and that might boost your comm demand.
