I should have started a poll from the beginning, so I'll do so now.

I would say south with this settler - we can decide later whether we want to do the B site, furs or horses.

BTW, from the extra bit of the second island revealed this turn (presumably from LL's map; and it looks like a real rough island) I think LL has a galley in the water.

Save is with us, we need to decide.

I'm still not sure myself. While LL has a galley in the water, I doubt they would settle our island, especially when our next city there pops up in 3 turns.

I took the liberty of moving Ship's Cook N. (So whoever plays the turn, do the same.) It looks to me like the island truly does end here. (I'm getting deja vu... )

I vote east over the sea. We can claim the island entirely and get another 1spter over there, which will help with gradually improving this new land into someplace useful.

I'm going with South for now; we can send the next settler across to the island. With 2 of our cities on it, I doubt LL would try and take the other tip of it when they have another island of their own.

Sharpe made a very good point to me in chat: the galley will take several turns to return, so the settler would have to stand around for a few turns tapping his toes. If we waited for the next settler to send across, however, it would instead be the galley waiting 1 turn (and we can potentially send it farther out to explore more and eliminate the wait).

So, I change my vote to South.
