	Different ways of winning the game? Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

Just got CivIII (previous games were Civ:TOT and SMAC, never got into CTP I or II even though I have them) and so far I always reach the 540 turns limit so I was planning to do this -goto the 'Game Limits' screen and change the 540 upto a very big number (anyone know thw max?). And what I need to know is will the following happen :-

The game would just go on and on till one of the victory conditions is actually met. So if I dont want say a 'Cultural Victory' just switch that option off in the rules or if I want to make sure you need total domination then change the game limits domination values from 66% upto high 90s.

Will the game go on happily untill a victory condition is ment then suddenly there will be a pop-up saying so and the game will end or do you need the turn stop ending for everything to be evaluated?

The game win end offically if you met any of the victory conditions enabled. Once that occurs, you can still play on as long as you want, but the score won't count.

I think the max is 1000, but I am not positive.
