Didn't Frozzy say something some time back along the lines of he logged into a public computer and was logged in as MrWhereItsAt? And someone else said he should have ... ah... used the situation?

Maybe this dude also did some such thing? Used a computer at school, then some random geek was looking through his browse history, found a site he'd never heard of (*gasp*) and decided to check it out. Saw that cookies were not cleared, and had some fun. How about that?

At least we know he's not a DL...

I wasn't using any computer at any school or public place. My account was hacked. No one else used this computer on the board at the time of those posts by me. I do not have a "Jekyl and Hyde" issue.

Furthermore, no one else used the computer here. Incidently, what's a DL?

No one used this computer. I didn't use this at school. Could someone put me in contact with the admin of this board, please?

While I'm not one of the great owners... what can I or anybody do for you.

I've already stated that the IP used for the supposed questionable posts has never been used by anybody else on this site. There is really nothing the site can do.

We have no evidence that anybody from this site "hacked" your account. If somebody indeed did, it was done on your end.

No, I don't. And look. I found some proof I was hacked by looking into the sent messages in my Private messages. Here's what it said:

I'm looking for someone to role play with online... in an erotic fashion. PM me bak and let me know

That was not me! I don't act like that online or offline. This message was sent to Plotinus on 1-21-04. The day my account was hacked. Could you guys stop making light of the situation and help me out?

Try IP banning the other person's account. As in, the person who hacked my account's IP. That'll work. Or just get rid of this account or something.

You could always traceroute to both of those IP's and see at least how close geographically they are. If they are in the same city, or heck, in the same state, then this guy's playing games with us.

And by the way... what you say is not "proof"... this could all still be just a "game" on your part.

Seen from an outsiders position... one must ask why anybody would bother "hacking" your account... or how they did it. It wasn't anybody (staff or member) from this site unless they used a IP address that they have never used before to access this site... highly unlikely.

You have to admit that your story is hard to accept... and as I said, what do you expect in the way of help?

And who's account should I IP ban? Aren't you listening. There is no record of ANYBODY on this site using the IP address that was used to make the posts you suggest were made by somebody hacking your account.

There is really NOTHING we can do. You have changed your password... and that's the limit of what anybody can do. If it happens again... I will be more than willing to run the IP checks again and see if there is anything that can be done... but if the search comes up like this one did...

Who knows if the ip addresses I'm reading are even the real ones used. As you know, it doesn't take much skill to hide behind fake IP addresses...

True enough... but the same holds true for his claims as well

Again... the question why anybody that would have access to the needed information would do such a thing escapes me. If somebody on the staff wanted to "play such a game"... there would be better targets than a relative newbie...

So while I'm trying to take this seriously, you have to admit it's kind of "fishy"....

And your last point is what I've been trying to say all along... what does he expect us to do in light of the fact that there is no proof and that the IP addresses don't point at any suspect?

I did run similar checks as Ming and maybe a few others. My conclusions mirror his.
