As mentioned a couple of times, I am going to resign as player for the team Monty Python soon. The exact time I define as the turn after we get out of Anarchy. We will be switching to Republic, when our troops are marching south on the road. This will be in approximately 10 turns or in terms of time, about two weeks. To avoid confusion and clueless playing due to constantly changing the player without a proper information flow (like GS in the Bobian war in PtWDG1), it would be good if the duty could be taken by one dedicated player who plays every turn at least as long as the war lasts.
The new player should:
1) be a dedicated Civ3 player (duh! Explanation below)
2) be available at least once every 24 hours to play the turn. This can take up to half an hour or even more, considering the fact, that we will have war.
3) be prepared to be the CoD ambassador at the same time, for obvious reasons
4) have a flawless working email account, preferably not a mass account like hotmail, msn or yahoo, because there have been massive complaints about lost turns and compromised attachments with these providers throughout the PBEM games.
5) be an experienced democracy gamer, who doesn't easily get offended by flames and trolls.
For myself, the first condition isn't exactly true anymore. I'm getting increasingly sick of the game. No, I don't want to rant about it, but it seems I have played it way too often in the past 2 years and I need a long break in order to regenerate my desire to play it again, which I undoubtly will. May be in half a year, or so. The PBEMs I am playing now are all I am able to bear and I won't start new ones for now. I completely miss the fifth condition. This is important to note, because we are going to start a war, possibly going along with hot discussions and accusations in the public forum. I have played the game as "thoroughly commented PBEM" game so far, but in the future the team will need a better democracy gamer/role player than I ever can be. My demise in this game will be my farewell to democracy games as a whole, at least on Apolyton. I got involved in several, because the idea sounded like fun, but this was a severe mistake. I will remain a semi-active team member. I will help the new player in the first time, if he needs me.
So who is willing to take over?

Sir Ralph, I would like to thank you for all the hard work you've put into this game for us. I feel kinda bad, having let you do all the work with little effort on my own part. Your dedication is admirable.
As I've said before, I'd be more than willing to step forward in this role once more. However, I can't claim to be half the civ player you are. I've always played the diplomatic roles in these democracy games, and would certainly be willing to take the CoD correspondance. My own time constraints with school also get in the way.
As a last resort, I'd volunteer to take the place of head turn player, though I would step aside should someone better and with more time step up.
Let me once more thank you for all the hard work you've put into this game.
This merits yet another grand Monty Python Public Annoucement, methinks.
