Important news! Using the presend save I contacted Miriam and she demanded SFF from me. And I had the option to ask Ecological Engineering in return!
This of course partly explains the Hive's willingness to trade us Ecological Engineering.
If we can't reach a deal with Archaic on EcoEng, any idea on how we should acquire EcoEng from the Believers? Try to steal it from them or trade with them?

I assume Miraiam Refuses to trade.

I had alwys been in favor of attacking Miriam (I do that in all my games) she is close by and has a large pice of territory.

But I think stealing it with Probe teams is a better bet right now. Unfortunatly our Probe Foil is very far away, we should produce another soon or perhaps some Probe Teams and another Transport.

It seems we should start a serious probe training program, as we have lots of things to do: Infiltrate the Drones, Angels and Believers, and lesser importance as we're currently pacted: the Hive and PUT. Secondly some tech assimilation: EcoEng from Miriam, and we might try to return the Drones the favour they did to PUT and steal some techs from them as well.

About returning the favour to the drones, won't they declare vendetta on us then as well?
But, if the trick mentioned by you and more or less confirmed by Laurentius goes through, it's almost a necessity. We're getting way behind that way...

Yes, but what would be the difference with our current diplomatic relation to the Drones? We aren't cooperating at all anyway, and they're attacking our PUT allies.

We have done quite well so far at stealing tecnology from others, no reason to stop now.
