Attention, please: SPOILER
Don't read if you intend to play this scenario soon.
Advice given by the author in the Readme file:
"Switch to Monarchy ASAP and don't conquer the 'British Isles too soon".
I did NOT follow that advice, because the Norwegian government was Fundy, which solves all happiness problems in big widespread empires, and that is precisely what I intended to build
The problem with Fundy is research, and it can be best solved by trading with a fat foreign city far away on a remote continent. That is why, as soon as I finished building Eirik Raudar's Discoveries ( = LH), I sent as many boats as I could sailing west.
I finally discovered the warm Inuit seaside resort of Juak, and immediately started building a long shipchain (>10 boats), then many, many Merchants (= caravans) which provided a rate of research around 4-5 turns/tech.
The idea was to discover Navigation before the Danes did, because Navigation brought Drakkars (some sort of Viking ironclad ) and Leif Eirikson's Voyage (= Magellan).
The Danes beat me to the tech, but not to the wonder, and I managed to take all their coastal cities before they finished building a single Drakkar
After that it was almost a piece of cake, taking all other coastal cities with my powerful drakkars, and quickly researching the 'Norman conquest' which allows building Knights, a very powerful unit indeed, able to beat anyone on land, even behind walls.
My main mistake was to conquer most of Europe before sending Knights and Lancemen to the New World. It probably cost me 7-8 years. Oh well !

Almost all the scenarios I have been playing recently are to be found on the Spanish Site (hosted at Apolyton).
I started with the so-called Spanish scenarios, because there is a Hall of Fame connected and I wished to see my name written there.
Then I went on with the scenarios named Bestonet (and I intend to go on because all the scenarios on the Spanish Site are bugfree AFAIK and have been carefully selected).

Sorry, the link seems to be broken, but if you switch to ACS main page you will find the Spanish Site among the hosted sites.
