Something that would be very handy Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

Everytime I switch government, or I got a new lux resource / lost a lux resource / changed my lux rate etc. etc. I have to 'visit' every city to click on the center tile of the city to recalculate the way the laborers are spread.

If I have much cities, that is a hell of a job.

Why is there not a button somewhere in the F1 screen that recalculates all laborers at once.
Of course there must be exceptions. Cities you want to manage yourself. Just make an easy checkbox in the city screen for that reason that excludes them from the 'recalculate all cities' button.

And of course make it possible to show only the cities which have that checkbox checked in the F1 screen. (or a way to cycle to micromanage those 'excludes' cities)

Maybe to late for any C3C patch.
but maybe something for Civ4?

It would really mean a lot to me.

CS.

Ps. I'm somehow affraid that some smart guy now is going to explain how this is already possible. Oh well, that would be cool though. Eventhough I would be the ignorant of the month

Suffering from ads?

I agree that would be a nice feature.

If it is already possible to do this then I guess I'd join you as ignorant of the month!

Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

you can use the govonor for a second for all cities, and then tell him to stop.

doing that will replace workers (you can even specify things like "emphasize production"), and then you can turn it off if you don't like him doing stuff for you.

Well this button would have to use the same allocation process that the govs use, is that what you want?

When I cause revolution, I always turn governor on to manage moods while I am in Anarchy. This way, you avoid rebellious cities the turn that you come out of Anarchy into your new govt. Then I turn governor off. That is the only time I use governor.

I actually leave the "manage happiness" on all the time, because I hate going through and MM-ing all my cities.

Tired of ads?

You can keep your curser on the center of the city and just scroll through the cities with the arrow keys while clicking with the mouse inbetween. Takes only a couple of seconds to go through dozens of cities. Hundreds even.

Not the perfect solution but it works.

Use the Governor. Decide what you want the people do i.e emphasize food or production, then tell the Governor to take care of that for all cities. Most of the time, the game will recalculate the workers, though not always.

Thanks for the advises!
It seems to work indeed.

As a micromanager I never used the governors.
