hmm. better than tyranny, yes. but i have found that enacting another government first, then switch to theocracy isnt as desirable as going with theo in the first place.
i assumed you wanted to say that due to your finding of republic, both religion and theo got more expensive and that that made you lose this game. but apparently thats not what you wanted to say.

The Ancients improved there position on three wins by Keygen. He posted wins against Nimrod of the Spys, Flame Flash of Some Assembly Required and Protoss of Rolling Thunder. Congratulations to Keygen who is on a roll.

Dimytes and Studio Crazy Fun remains undefeated in the 1X1 games and have improved to 4 and 4 with Dimytes Defeat against checkMate. Good game Dimytes.

Dancemasseuse improved the Mockers Revenge 1x1 record by beating Nukeboy. Congratulations to Dancemasseuse.

Nimrod did his part to help the Spys with his win over Protoss72000. Congratulations Nimrod.

I'm happy to see that all of the 2x2 games made progress this time. Most teams posted > 40 turns with some posting as high as 70.

It was the first time I have ever played with Republic. I put my workday at 10, wages at 5 and rations at 7.5. Had to keep the wages at 5 so as to get some progress in science. It seemed to have better results than Theo. Didnt notice any differance between Theo and Republic when it came to my production. I have to say that was one of my best games based on my play. If i every find Rebuplic before I have religion, I will stick with it.

Rebublic has slightly better sience coefficient than Theocracy, 1.5 instead of 1.25 of Theocracy. However it has significantly lower too many cities threshold, 30 instead of 40 of Theocracy and no happiness bonus for having troops inside a city.
