PTW Extras: corrupt zip files Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

I've downloaded the PTW extras from civ3.com, but no matter what program I use to open the zip files in (WinZip, WinRar, windows explorer shell) I can't get to the files. When opened with the windows explorer shell that comes with WindowsME, the zips are simply empty. With Winzip, it says that ~81bytes are missing from the file, saying the file's corrupt. And with WinRar, I can see the files, but it gives an error message saying that the zip is corrupt, and whenever I open an image it's simply blank.

Are the zips themselves corrupt, or am I losing something when I download? Has anyone else been able to successfully download these? If so, is there something I can do in order to get them?

If not, it's no biggy, and if I really felt like it, I also have PTW. But the manual suggested not installing it, so I've refrained so far. Anyways, thanks.

Got spare money?

If you use any download manager try it again without it. That's the only thing I can think of.

Tired of ads?

Nope, I've tried it with Mozilla Firebird and IE6, both stock settings, and neither have worked. Thanks for the tip, though, I never thought it might have been Mozilla's internal d/l manager. If only it was the problem

Tired of ads?

Probably either the source file has got screwed in some way, or you have an outdated version of your decompression software. I have seen those symptoms with both.

Support Apolyton, buy Civilization III: Complete

I think they actually are corrupt. I got "unexpected end of archive" when trying to open them with WinRar, and the same problems as the original poster when trying other zip utilities. (Winzip and the explorer default shell zip.)

Suffering from ads?

Yeah, I heard somewhere else they were corrupt files. Is there someplace else to download them from?
