Hard way is when the number is made by 4 and 4. IOW a pair of the same numbers.
Snake eyes and Box cars can only be made one way, the "hard" way. Other numbers such as 8 can be made in other combos (5 and 3 or example).

I googled "Hard 8" and got very few porn sites. This was the first on the list.

Yes, Plato, good post showing why the hard numbers are not a great bet. The house percentage is too great. But most of the bets in the center of the table have similar house %.

On the end table bets you can get the house percentage less than 1%, so it's the best place for your money.

Your first table, I had memorized many many years ago.

panag was well on his way to being in the elite "club" that we are celebrating rah's entrance into. His departure was a significant loss. All kidding aside, I miss the guy. Hope he is "having a nice day" wherever he may be.

I regret the guy too. His unique style gave much more flavour to 'Poly, and I'm sure his constant bickerings with DG presidents made the whole thing much more entertaining.
