	Cant download anything Support Apolyton, buy Alpha Centauri

Hi I'm new here

I am playing CPT 2 for nearly 3 years now.
Now i found this page and i saw lot of fantastic Mod's here.
But I cant download one of them.

Everytime I hit the link, a blank site is opening and nothing happens.

Am I doing something wrong?

Some people seems to have problems downloading some files. I have tried to download a few things in the Call to Power 2 section of the Directory and everything works fine.

I know that there are some issues with download managing softwares, you should try to download the files you are interested in without them if you are using this kind of softwares.

I had a similiar problem, until I disabled (temporarily) my norton firewall. After I did that ..NOOO problem..

Hmm. I have disabled my Norton firewall and Antivirus, and itstill dont work.

I just wanna have the WAW mod (-crying-)

i have the same problem. I can't donwload anything.
Everytime i try it i got a 'the page cannot be displayed' error message.
I disabled my AV software and i tried the both links above but i allways got the same error.
Any suggestions or hints ?!

No, everytime when i try it i get this error message.
I can't even download any of the attached files here at the board.
But i just want to download some of the CtP2 Maps and Mods. Is there any other website where i could get'em ?!

I once had a problem like this and I think it was my IE security setting.

Go to IE=>tools=>Internet Options=>security and make sure you've got File download enabled.

Strange the first link didn´t work for me either, it opened a "Joetec advertising page" and... nothing happened
The 2nd worked for me

IE 6
Sygate Firewall (active)
Proxomitron (adfilter - inactive for Apolyton only)

Edit: the first link now works, maybe the server was busy at the time...

No, I don't use firefox but i'm behind an university firewall. Perhaps this is the problem. But that's the first time that i've heard that this could prevent from downloading files. I've never had problems like this before. It only happens at this board.
And yes, file download at IE is enabled.

IE or Mozilla, firewall on or firewall off, any link from Apolyton sends me to a url like this.

Manually replacing the %2F for '/' %3A for ':' and %7E for '~' (tilda) in the last section gets the right page. Its probably the scripting that produces the link not working in different versions.

I know why is this:

A) You have instaled Spywareblaster, AdAware or Spybot Search & Destroy, those program overwrites the hosts file. You need to find it and remove it, then create a blank new one.

B) You are using AVANTBrowser, or MyIE2. Those programs has a AdHunter / Content Filter. When they spot a *ad* url, they use a blank one instead.

C) http://207.44.245.200/ has a hi message. nice

Norton IS in fact. Disable ad-blocking and the site works ok.

you can also use a CGI proxy (Anonymiser, TheCloack) it will bypass every security setting on the PC
