Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

In terms of workers the stack of 3 should mine this turn and the FP should be set to work that tile this turn, take from the irrigated plain. As the workers will finish it in the turn ending sequence.
Woharder should mine where he is and New worker should move north and help him mine. We have 10 food stored in FP city meaning we can run at a deficit there for 10 turns or spend 3 turns growing once we can get more excess food from being a republic.

Bongo what do you think to a harbor rather than a spearman in stinker were going to need some luxs in republic if we don't want to raise the slider too much. We could probably move the JW from virgins to temple mount and then move the spear from that city down to help out.

I have closed the save...but if stinker ain't got barracks, it may as well get a harbor instead.

Also, I've just got a phone call telling me I've got a job and from monday will have to work during the day instead of doing stuff like this so my participation will likely drop.

ty, I suppose I better play the save while I still have free time aplenty.

WM from SS, our WM accepted and sent to SS
Construction accepted from LL
asslicker NW arrggggh SE.
uday onto hill, spots SS settler stack with worker there too
willsmith west, 4 more horsemen SE of the original camp, moves north into the forest
steve heals
new settler towards NW city spot
danger into FP city along with spearman
cannonfodder moves from virigns to temple mount
spearman 10 moves towards FP
stinker changes to harbour, can be changed back next turn it you'd rather build a spearman there.
stack of 3 workers mines
stack of 2 workers formed who also mine
work hard roads
new worker from igrends moves north to help build a road to the city that will be built soon

played with micromangement a bit, we may get rep in 4 turns instead of 5 also FP should now be at 18 turns.

During the turn end Asskicker was attacked by 4 barb horsemen killing all 4.. he won the first 2 without even a hp lost and becoming elite but then he was taken down to 1 hp (at which point the barbs stopped attacking ) one barb move to be 1 north of him and another moved to be 1 west of him, he can be out of reach of them next turn if we choose to fully retreat with him.

Also sent a note to SS asking to withdraw some money.

Well yeah that would work although I'm starting to think we can take these barbs, I mean really, who do they think they are rising up against us and trying to damage our lovely cities. I think perhaps our warriors will get a chance to prove their worth and perhaps get the distinction of being elite

In fact I denounce any suggestion that we should simply let these primative hordes ravage any of our people undefended, anyone suggesting that is no less than a traitor to our people goddamnit. :shakefist:
Also the settler would likely be attacked before building the city anyway.

Agree with OPD - I think we have a good chance of getting rid of the barbs, and they don't seem to be moving in a single stack, so we may not have to beat all 16 of them in one turn.

And I've heard rumours that it was OPD's birthday last weekend, or sometime around then. If so, many congratulations to OPD.

Full PM-box? Change here!

Um... has anyone considered that attacking barbs with our jaguar warriors will result in two undesirable outcomes:

1. Jaguar Warriors lost to barbarians are dead and cannot be upgraded to swordsmen once we get a source of iron. Jags are a rather precious resource at the moment.

2. Jaguar Warriors which actually get lucky and become elites will end up losing their elite status when we upgrade them to swordsmen. As for keeping them as Jags for their elite status, even an elite Jaguar warrior isn't going to do all that much to a veteran legionary.

So, ultimately, it comes down to whether the location of that settler's new city (and then having to build a settler there and move the city by abanonment) or the deaths of a number of perfectly good swordsmen upgrades are worth more to us.

Call me crazy, but I think we need those jags more than that settler right about now.

Got spare money?

Well I'd say a settler would be worth about 5 Jags at least. I'd be very disapointed to loose 5 jags against 8 barbs. In fact I don't think we're even going to loose a single unit more against these barbs!!!

Also alot of the warriors to be upgraded are regs so would need to get one promotion anyway.
