Defiant. I will keep this short and sweet. One, I am going to be critical of the overly leniant NMR grace period. Lordstone should have to submit orders when everyone else does. Plus, he has become increasingly delinquent. I am not going to continue to play within deadlines if 1 player is allowed to consistantly exploit the rules. Enough said.

I seem to recall sending a PM with the spring moves sometime last week...

First of all, I would like to thank Defiant for being very lenient. If he had chosen to move on and make up moves, then I would have upheld his decision, too. Second, I do not see how I have become "increasingly delinquent." Granted, I have had disastrous computer and family-related problems in the last month from the period of Feb 15-March 15. However, I have tried very hard to keep on top of moves, trying my damnest to continue San Andreas and ADCT and continue my involvement in Domination and Civilization.
I'm continuing this even as I finish up my campaign for vice-president of the student government, deal with the family aftereffects of my grandfather's funeral, a sucky Dell laptop that crashes every 15 minutes, planning a hospitality room for 150 people for a biannual party that serves over 2000 partrons from three colleges located in Los Angeles, Washington DC, and Rochester, NY. I have been a member of this diplomacy community ever since its inception nearly two years ago, and been very involved in its growth as well as games. And I have never taken a break from the diplomacy community in that time. When I was faced with my computer woes, I immediately notified Apolyton so that they wouldn't be left in the lurch as I have been many, many times.
While I expect no special treatment for my long presence on Apolyton, I do expect GMs to understand and give me some leeway in light of my technical problems, and also for them to have the wisdom to just decide and leave me behind and move on. Again, I thank Defiant, and I sincerely hope that no further catastrophes will strike me in the future that will take me away from this community for an extended length of time.

Gerwald,
You are absolutely correct. The reason I was giving Lordstone a break is cause of his problems with his computer and roaming the countryside for work or whatever, he did tell us that upfront. BUT........Lordstone, you know this game as well as anybody and you have enough time to respond to Gerwald here, take that same time a turn in a set of preliminary orders, that is part of the game. Right now there are no retreats that affect you, you could send in your prelims for fall now and change them if you need to.
Since I have a legitimate concern by a player and my rules at the beginning state only a 24hr grace period after the due date, I am going to keep to the rules strickly for the rest of the game. If your moves are not turned in by the end of the 24hr grace period, given you haven't asked for an extension you are NMR'd and the game is getting to the point where I can no longer make adequate moves for the countries in "HOT" positions like you are in. My rule will be all units support each other if you NMR.
ScottF, I am sorry, I didn't receive any such orders over the PM, the ones I have are from March 28 from Midshipman. If you send them again with the date I will obviously take back the NMR and implement your orders, I can't believe they are too much different than the ones I did, AND I did the moves before adjudicating everybody's, you have to take my word for it, I have nothing to gain here, just trying to keep the game going without handicaps.
