Act Two

During the following morning, Theben the tailor had a heavy breakfast at rah's and strode off to the shop to get the day's work started. Everybody were a bit shaken after yesterday, but all in all they were in good spirit and trying their best to get everything back to normal.

The tailor knocked the door of the shop - usually by this hour, Spiffor had already started making and fixing shoes. Nobody answered, so Theben assumed that Spiffor had decided to take the day off, understandable, and went in to get some work done.

The shoemaker lived on the second floor of the house, so Theben climbed the stairs to say hello to him before getting started. However, Spiffor was nowhere to be found. His bed was a complete mess with his pillow lying on the floor, quite out of place.

The tailor started to realise what had happened and felt a shiver go down his spine. He called out for the man one final time before he started to frantically search the house for any trace of him.

As he opened the door of the closet in the bedroom, Spiffor's cold, blue body fell forward from it to his lap, still clad in pyjamas. The villagers had failed.

Yes very suspicious. And isn't cyanide blue. Hence the blue body. He probably suffocated in his poisoned frensy but it is more likely he was smothered with the pillow.

But Honghu could be right that he is a mafia so I vote DrSpike

Hercules closes Spiffor and Drogues bank accounts. As far a he knew neither Jonny, Drogue or Spiffor had heirs. He is going to suggest their money goes into a village development fund or a village lottery.

Yeah, Spiffor's correction was fine in English terms. The 'own goal' did not refer to that, although some took it that way. The 'own goal' referred to his missing the irony in my post that he corrected.
