Act Three (cont.)
The votes had been tallied. It was time for the nobility in exile, duke o' york, to die. Without any further delay, the Lord himself took the knife he was now carrying with him at all times and slashed the Duke's throat open.
"We should have let him choose, for crying out loud", Skanky Burns protested.
"Bah. We can't pick the way the Mafia kills us either", Vovan said. The villagers nodded in agreement.
Zopperoni sighed. "Something not so bloody the next time, I hope, I'm the one who has to clean up here."
"You should have the time now that your other master is dead", Jon Miller pointed out.
"And like his throat, my paycheck has been cut too", the butler scoffed.
Act Four
The villagers were now expecting the next move of the Mafia, rather than hoping for the killing to end. In fact, some were speculating that since there were two methods being used, there were actually two killers on the run. Since there was nothing material to prove it, no one suggested executing two villagers should a new corpse turn out, since there was after all only one murder a night.
HongHu was heading out to the food shop when Lord Jon ran out from his house crying "It's the Mafia!"
ADG emerged from his shop as the Lord explained: "We need to assemble the tribunal again. I just found a body in my bathroom."
"Whose is it?" HongHu asked.
"It's - I don't know, I didn't take the time to look", Jon replied.
When the three arrived in Jon's bathroom, the corpse was lying on the floor, it's face in a small puddle of blood.
"Hmmm... This one was impaled too?" ADG wondered, looking at the stains. "Hang on, what's that on the floor, next to him?" On the white floor, was a shape drawn in blood. "It looks like an L, I think", he observed. "L as in Lord", he continued and looked at Jon.
"Nonsense. That'd be far too obvious wouldn't it. In my bathroom of all places! I'm being set up here! He's been strangled, brought here, and then the murderer's let out some blood to write that L shape."
"Or, he's bitten his own tongue and used the blood to leave us a clue while being strangled. Guynemer can tell us."
"Hah! He's out for my blood, I'd reckon, or maybe he's the killer himself. No one can be trusted any longer. Besides, if the victim has written it, the killer didn't notice it and clean it up! And I would have had all the time in the world to remove it."
"Or so you want us to think! We'll see what the villagers think - themselves - at the tribunal. I wonder if that pitchfork you confiscated ended up in poor Vlad's backside too," HongHu said.
While Jon and HongHu had this exchange, ADG had flipped the body around. It was Pave.

sigh... this is not why I went to medical school.
It appears that Pave did, in fact, bite his tongue; however, he would not have been able to recover, write an "L", and then pass on, unless he was killed twice, and the killer either didn't see or didn't care about the L. Which I suppose is entirely possible. Which makes this whole paragraph essentially worthless.
I suspect alva is the suffocator/strangler.
