	Hotseat Got spare money?

Well, my friends and I are big Civ fans and love to play hotseat games against each other. Now, we're planning a rather large game during Spring Break, but I wanted to know if I should get Conquest before we set up the game. I have Civ: Gold right now and love it, but looking at Conquest, I think I want to get that one as well. Is there any reason not to? Are there any bugs that screw up hotseat games? Thanks for any responses.

I am playing a C3C hotseat game with some mates. They are CTP II die hards, and we have been playing CTP II Hotseat for many years... They are enjoying the differences in C3C.

Hotseat games are a great concept and I highly recommend you do get Conquests. The game has gone from strength to strength in each expansion kit, and you will not be disappointed.

As to any bugs, I have not seen any major issues for hotseat games. And the new patch for Conquests was due out this week...

I recently played a "4 human player" hotseat game against myself. There doesn't seem to be any bugs and I found it to be a blast.

You guys are lucky if you actually have mates that will play the game with you hotseat. PBEM games can be a drag because it takes a while to get your turn back. One of the reasons why I play solitare hotseat games.

Hotseat rocks! The C3C version is as good or better than any previous version.
Not only that, but C3C is generally good, with the widest variety of options to explore, as well as the best balance between Civs.
Go for it.

Thanks! I'll probably get Conquest then. A little off topic, is there any way to stop the AI from building hundreds of weak troops? Is there a way to get them to stop once they reach a certain number of troops and to only build the latest troops? Probably not, but I'm hopeful. Its annoying to have 200 spearman attack you tanks.(Its happening in my games now).

Well only because those Spearmen seem to try harder against Tanks (according to Apolyton posting mythology):

As to your question about the AI not producing a ton of useless units, I really don't know how to do this, nor do I discourage it

I think the AI handles upgrades much better in C3C than before... Í never se spearmen in the late middle ages anymore

still seeing some spearmen in my latest c3c game , ai doesnt like to spend mloney onm the upgrades....
