Hello
I´m new to CTP, and have lost my manual. Can somebody explain the connection between science and gold to me? As I see it you need to produce both gold and have a high science-output in your towns to get new advances quick?
Also, when I´m finished building a unit, the population in that town decreases, for example from 5 to 4 for a few turns..is that a bug?

Gold is important. All gold colected minus wages( pop size* slider number), minus upkeep cost is then multiplied by the science slider ratio and that goes towards your science. Also a city can "collect" science ( place a worker on a sea tile) by hiring scientists or certain improvements help. If you click the science button on "screens" you'll see how much your civ is generating. If you click the "city status" screen you'll see how each city is doing.
