This is a serious request...

We have a great community in the Civ III Democracy Game, and the newspaper could really use the skills of someone from this thread as a reporter

Well, I went over to that forum and... Woah! You are one busy poster over there. I'm quite busy with other stuff at the moment (For instance, I overslept an exam on Friday, and my prof doesn't want to let me retake it without a note from the Dean of Students. And the Dean of Students doesn't consider an accidental misfiring of the alarm clock a valid excuse for missing a test... ), but as soon as I take care of things, I'll catch up with what's going on out there and see if you may be needing another member?

It will be 2 to 3 weeks before we look to issue Volume V.

You need a better excuse than sleeping in. Civ is full of better excuses. Have you tried telling the prof you were late due to barbarian invasion?

Heeey, I could say I was playing civ the whole night, and my nation was threatened by the Barbarians, so I had to protect my people.
