Good to see that we've changed from yellow to orange. We'll be playing total football and making a mockery of the opposition before you can say "And they join these special football schools straight from the womb and are only allowed to eat pasta?"

We're looking a bit lightweight on the left hand side. I may well find myself having to switch at this early stage. Still, all our players can play anywhere (but especially Barcelona).

Well, the captain is obliged to pass on the orders accurrately, and make up (humerous) orders for lazy people for two reasons.

1.) It keeps the game faster.
2.) It makes a LOT less work for me.
3.) It gives the captains some fun

Well, three examples from your current position :

Tackle Doc - if Doc then ran with the ball, you would end in the square he is in now (c2), with the ball. He would be in the square he was running to, without the ball. If he passed, you would hack him down and you would both be in c2 still.

Intercept Skanky - you would run to Skanky's square and if Doc chose to "Pass to Skanky" you would get the ball. If Doc didn't pass to Skanky, you would just move to that square. Its possible Skanky moves too, then you would follow him around.

Run to (a2) - you would simply run to (a2)

Mark Doc - instead of tackling or intercepting a player with the ball, you can just follow them. If Doc moved to (b4) you would move to b4 too.

Ok, that was 4 examples. Clear?

In the case of Doc electing to pass, what happens in the case UR tackles and I intercept?

Is it a foul or a turnover then?

Both. You would get the ball, and UR would then hack Doc over.

This is simple. Doc says "Pass to Ras" and Ras says "Run to (c3)"

Yes, including diagonals. You can also tackle or intercept only players in adjacent squares.

No, marking is movement only. It could be useful if you want to make sure you stay in the same square as someone, for whatever tactical reason.
