This is a mere suggestion for the rankings... As you know, 10000 posts is horribly difficult to have for dety level (unless your life is centered at Apolyton or you are Ming.) However, it is not impossible. But also, there is huge gap in between 3000 posts (Emperor) and 10000 posts (Deity). Therefore, I suggest that Deity level will be moved to 5000 posts, and 10000 (or maybe 8000) posts would be line for new "Choose your title" rank. After someone achieves this, MarkG (Or DanQ) sends a little post to congratulate on relentless spamming, and tell the newfound winner to pick his own rank (You know, like former favs Apolyton Whiner and Apolyton Daffy Duck.) This would be cool thing to grope for.

It sounds like a lot of extra work to me, not to mention a lot of extra spamming by ppl who want to set their own title (even "cooler" than deity ).

I don't like this idea AT ALL, and, quite frankly, I will be truly amazed if MarkG and DanQ do

How about, instead of being able to choose your own title, if there was another generic title in that spot (prehaps around 5,000?). This would allow you to have a status below Emperor, but above Deity.

I don't think so, there aren't that many emporers here.. Just be happy with it Professional spammers like Provost and Djuga... would be the only ones with nifty titles, everyone else would have either moved on or (like narck) gotten a company title.
