	2ndary system of rankings Support Apolyton

What if a second system of rankings was set up: a ranking based upon post quality. Other users would be able to rank your posts on their quality. You would then recieve a second rating based upon the average (or total) of your post ratings. A fairly simple average based system that could be used is: <center><table width=80%><tr><td><font color=000080 face="Verdana" size=2><font size="1">quote:

<font color="blue"> (The average would be rounded to the nearest whole number)</font>
excelent post = 5 pts
good post = 4 pts
average post = 3 pts
bad post = 2 pts
really bad post = 1 pt

Using this system, a 3 would be displayed if you recieved the following rankings:

• really bad post (1)
  
• excelent post (5)
  
• average post (3)

how is an server supposed to rank THOUSANDS of posts a DAY? impossible, and so such a system will never be put in place.

I doubt this is the sort of thing forum administrators would want to promote anyway. The current "ranking" is there more as a guide than to say one user is good and one bad. A system like this would encourage vindictiveness.

The rankings here were to merely give this site a "civvy" feel, this is a gaming site after all. And if you're looking for a popularity contest with everyone else ranking every single post, we already have one: Apolytoner of the Month

The server could just base it on how many words are in a post...but that'll just lead to more spam...
