Hello,
I just compiled a CVS checkout (Sat Mar 13 14:41:26 2004), and when I start up a server and then try to connect to that with the client (Gtk2 if that matters), I get this in the server:
2: Connection request from tom from localhost
2: c1 has client version 1.14.99-devel
2: Client rejected: c1 from localhost (connection incomplete).
2: tom was rejected: Mismatched capabilities.
And this in the client:
Client capability string: +1.14.delta +last_turns_shield_surplus
Server capability string: 14.delta +last_turns_shield_surplus veteran +orders +starter +union +iso_maps +orders2client +change_production +tilespec1 +no_earth
Can I do something to fix this, or should I wait for a fix in CVS?

You need to recompile both the client and the server, and use both from CVS sources. Both client and server should print a list of capabilities, check which one is missing a capability the other one has - that one needs be recompiled.

Hmm, well I just recompiled and it connects now. I don't have any install other than CVS, so unless "make install" failed to overwrite an older compile of civserver, I'm mystified.
Nevermind though, it works now!
