	Newbie PBEM Game Got spare money?

A call for newbie players (like myself) who are interested in a pbem game to better learn how to play without launching with a load of experts that will just kick our arses straight off. I'm thinking 4-5 players, fairly basic settings (not sure what they are). Must be dedicated to take turns fairly regulary (at least within 48 hours barring the odd exception).

Also - is everyone situated in the country represented by their flag? Let me know so that we may organize turn order to better suit the flow through the world time zones. I'm in Toronto.

Also - I think the game is still open to new players since one or two of the ones listed above may have lost interest since originally posting...

if any space left i could b eitnerested,, i only started palying pbem in Feb and have yet to finsih a game obviously due to those stil being active...

i count myslef as a newbie ...

Welcome aboard.

I'm using the Civ 3 Gold edition that has PTW included. I'm not sure what the C3C thing is that you mention.

As for settings - well since you've got a wee bit of experience on us, perhaps you can recommend what setting we should start out with. I tried a few internet games and the fast production setting seems logical. As for world size, victory conditions, and game type (turns, turnless, simultaneous moves, etc) I'm at a loss but am guessing that the standard 'turn' way is best, no? All recomendations are welcome from yourself and anyone else in the game...

stick tostandard for turn types...

as for world dpeneds on if you want to explore some first or get a war !!!

i prefer the empiure building so iprefer larger worlds... unknown worlds too, not a premade earth map...

c3c is Civilsation 3 Conquests.. the latest expansion

PTW is fine by me...

i would like to be the vikings in the game...

i prefer large world size with random land mass and would like to play for zulu

ok, glad to hear the quick response. So far we have these preferences that aren't etched in stone, so if they rub someone the wrong way then feel free to say so.

Using a randomly generated map from PTW:

large map
no turn timer
accelerated production

Vickings and Zulus are claimed by Rasputin and Eliitmees respectively.

I still need e-mail addresses guys or we won't know where to send turns to...
