HTML automarkup mangles my signature! Get a bigger avatar today!

I'll append my siganture.

This is what it looked like when I wrote it in my profile:
http://udel.edu/~jgephart/fun2.htm
There is a book called "windows for dummies".
Isn't that title redundant?

html has many problems... and I always screw it up!! when I work on my website I will always leave out one character and it will mess up the whole thing and then I have to go through thousands of characters looking for the mistake! or is there a faster way and I'm just really dumb?

I did not put HTML in my sig; that why I titled this post "HTML automarkup mangles my signature"
If I had put HTML in it I would have have replaced the tags with < and >'s when I posted it here.

Did you use the tags? Did you hit the enter key? I'm assuming you did. Anyway, my sig looks just like the way I want it:

------------------
Minister of UFQPOT
Division of the (un)glorious PROT!
CEO of the SSPC

Xcralaérlì'aelàr a juonxá elu'el danán el danxá!

Actually that was a modified version. I made sure the URL tags were in and the enter key was used. Here's the unmodified one:

There is a book called "windows for dummies".
Isn't that title redundant?

Looks exactly the same....

By the way, I'm not editing so then people wouldn't think that I was using the edit function to change how the sig looked like.

Edit: Now I'm using the edit function. Found the problem: Thue, it appears that you did put HTML in your sig:

h t t p : / / u d e l . e d u / ~ j g e p h a r t / f u n 2 . h t m < B R > T h e r e

Remove all the spaces to see it correctly.

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

No, I am not. But it appears that when I submit it it becomes [.url.]'ified, and wrongly so.
