	Turn 107 - 430 B.C. Support Apolyton, pre-order Civilization IV

The Republic of the Castle of Loimbard is annouced! Celebrations break out across the nation!

Completed research:
None.

New units and improvements:
None, yet.

Domestic:
Cities re-optimized for Republic. Probably will need to retool the setup for our settler and worker factories in CA and Camelot - suggestions?

Our other first-ring cities (Castle Agggh, Swamp Castle, Cave of Caerborg, Gorge of Eternal Peril) are currently running 10spt.

Military:
The War Delegation continues south. The Monkey city of Siamang renamed Fort Siamang. A wall has been built around the city.

Our nothern barb problem has been averted, temporarily. No damage was done to Holy Grail, and a spearman now guards the city. With production running and four cities capable of putting out a spear every two turns, we're in good shape.

And now for something completely different:
A reading of the F3 screen shows that our army is stronger than that of Monkey, CoD, and LL. We're average compared to Tabemono. Of the nations we've met, only ourselves and CoD are Republics. LL, Tabemono, and Monkey are Despotisms.

Diplomacy:
Got a WM from CoD, sent one of ours accepted to CoD. It appears that a CoD galley is off the LL coast.

Finances and research:
125 gold, +51/turn at 9.0.1. Monothesim in 40.

You can try to get C to a 4 turn settler factory and CX to a 2 turn worker factory now (you'd need more shields for this), but watch out not too much to hurt the tier-1 cities, as they provide us with units and we have an ongoing war and barbarian problem to master.

@Sir Ralph: I'll play around with it a little bit. I'm just wondering, though, if you could lay out a city placement map or general strategy for me to follow, especially with our terrain. When I start plopping cities on my own, they are notorious for being in the one absolute worst spot possible...

I don't have such a map. There were 2 city sites left in the 6-ring (the northern city and the eastern coastal). I stated their position in my recommendations. Remember this is PtW, thus RCP is in full effect. Although all other city sites (farther than 6 away) don't matter much, since they will be 95% corrupt anyway. Just try to place them "strategically".
