The NEW Poll on the Fate of the Pirates. Keep in mind we have negotiations underway with the Hive and that the Hive has for what ever reason a strong desire to see the Pirates survive so their potential wrath should be weighed against the desire to see the Pirates gone.

Live and let live. If they are willing to move further away from us, then we may as well let them survive. If they decide in the future to use their council vote to fight against us (voting to increase the height of sea-level, for instance) then we will be well within our rights to deliver the final blow then, but otherwise lets just let them survive.

Well, now it looks like 5 in favour of leaving them alive and/or when they leave Yardlong Isle. They seem to be doing so.

4 votes for destroying them on sight or if the Hive attacks us.

5 members let them live, 4 let them die.

Since it was single choice, this could be a bad thing. It seems 2 want to attack regardless, which isn't a majority. 6 want to attack if the don't leave yardlong which is a majority, and somewhere between 4 and 8 want to if the Hive attacks us, since some who voted for the Yardlong may wish to if the Hive attacked us.

So no, it doesn't mean 5 want to let them live if they leave Yardlong Island, since at least 4 want to now (the Hive has attacked us) and possibly 8 do. Which is probably a majority. Of those 4 who voted Yardlong, would they want to attack them if the Hive attacked us? Some may want to if the Hive attacked us or if they didn't leave Yardlong.
