First, I suggest we sign the tech alliance with CoD/Python that I proposed elsewhere.

Free sharing of tech between us should enable us to gain a tech lead.

Second, I suggest we approach MAST as their savior. Tell them we're not sure we can act IN TIME, but that we want to do everything possible to strengthen them, and perhaps to even expand them. This entails getting them Iron ASAP. I mean GIFTING here, too.

Try to sell this idea to Sunshine while we're at it, and then, with Riders, take the LL cities on this side of the choke and gift most of them to MAST. Yes, I'm crazy.

Third, I suggest we approach LL with the possibility of an alliance. This is to leave our options open. It may be better if they agree to allow them MAST + some SS land while we take SS land then both prepare an invasion of the other continent, which laughably lacks Iron.

If we choose to ally with MAST, we should attempt to have the game flow as:

We supply CoD/Python with Iron ASAP.

After we expand MAST with LL cities on this side, MAST will hold off the LL army while we take SS with Calvs.

Now, the deception: We promise CoD/Python land over here, INCLUDING IRON, for their assistance against SS/LL. It should be a simple matter of denying them Iron before Rails, though, and thus ensuring an eventual victory for us, as I am assuming we will always have better land than MAST, and be stronger than them.

Yes, it's a bit warmongery for you guys...

I agree on the tech alliance, and I agree we should probably give MAST iron as soon as we can. As for the other issues, that will require some more discussion I still believe that a war between us and LL is inevitable, but SS is the real wild card in the equation. If it was just between us and LL, I'm positive we could win. If SS is thrown in, I'm still sure we would win, but it would be more costly. A consideration would be to pump up MAST, and then use them as "insurance" against SS interference. Say, basically, that if SS tries to get involved, you go smack them around.

And would it be so wrong to create fake screenshots indicating that LL started a war if we were to attack so as to trigger our SS defensive alliance

The poll isn't multiple choice but in any case I agree we should work out the tech alliance and prop up MAST with iron. I'm not sure about the rest of it quite yet, but it's entirely possible I could get behind it.

Regarding supplying both MAST with iron...yes we have three sources but one of them is VERY easy for LL to cut. All they have to do is declare war and we no longer have a coastal route for the iron in Port Sushi. If we hook up all three and gift two of them we could be looking at no iron if we only have two of them hooked up and LL declares war...unless we have astronomy first for the sea trade route. Trading to CoD requires Astronomy anyway.

Getting MAST Iron BEFORE a war is the point. The Road to Paradise we're supposed to be working towards will supply a more permanent route to them if needed as well. Also if we could get either SS or MAST to scout that bit of fog on the south, we'ld have a naval route around the horn that way.

Yes, CoD/Python are down the road as far as Iron goes. Just saying we should gift it to them so they don't suspect any foul intentions on our part. We're their friends until we decide to crush em.

Biggest mistake GoW made was not trading Chiv to RP like GF and I kept advocating. They started full military build up based on that alone.

I just realized half my post made no sense. If we only had two hooked up and traded one and lost the other is what I meant.

I agree with you though that we should give MAST iron soon and set up a beneficial alliance.

Tech alliance and prop up MAST. I'm still mulling over an alliance with LL... if we don't kill them now, we'll have to eventually, and Legions are more expensive than Hoplites, which makes them a better target during the age of Pikes IMO
