Hi Get a bigger avatar today!

Hello!

Sorry for having left for such a long time now. I hope my leave wasn't too much of a problem (well, since I took only a minor position in the team, I expect it was easily overcome )

I have begun to be interested in demogames again. I can't involve myself really seriously because of RL matters, but I'd like to observe how the game plays, and how my team Legoland is doing right now.

I have completely lost track of the game since the oldest ancient times, and I have completely missed the major wars. If I understand the few glimpses of the DG correctly, Gathering Storm was utterly defeated pretty early, and RP survived a very difficult war against Glory of War.

However, I have nearly no news of Legoland. What is going on here? Are there still many active players? Are we involved in any major problem? And more importantly: how are you guys doing?

Welcome back, I've been away a long time as well, and so I'm not sure what has been happening either. So any other active members here?

Welcome back, guys! Hmm... I'm trying to think how best to update you as to what's gone on these past few millenia... I'd start out checking the "Chronicle of Legoland" thread, but that can take a while to sift through. I'll try and write a brief history for you all to look over and catch up with

Hey, Spiffor!

So good to see you here again. We could really use your expertise on various issues (just keep in mind we are still PtW here). I am going to leave the "full history" post to ZargonX (I need to put the turn plan together now), maybe commenting a bit on what he says, but suffice to say that Legoland is in quite a position now... we have worked hard to make the best out of the hand we were dealt - and so far, we've done well, I'd say.

Perhaps, instead of chewing through the Chronicle (which is very accurate in depicting WHAT happened, but difficult to use where it comes to WHY it happened), I might suggest skimming through the "Next turn plan" thread, because you will find the reasoning behind most truly important moves there.

Plus, all the diplomatic threads (one per every team) and maybe the "Operation Glorious Plastic" thread. The Great Bobian War AAR in the public forum is an excellent read, too (IMHO) - free of flames and quite informative (actually, it was one of the few threads in the public forum I have followed with great interest and pleasure).

Thanks for the info

I'm busy today (election day here), so it is impossible for me to check all these threads today, but I'll get into it this week

I don't want to promise anything, as I don't know if I'll have time to help. But I'm eager to know and enjoy my team again

Put an end to popups!

Glad to see you again, Spiffor.

I don't remember when you left. Basically, the Bob war was: GoW and ND sweep through RP's outlying areas. GS gets involved on RP's side with troops, then we get involved on GoW-ND side with Gunpowder and a few protective troops for GoW's core. GoW-ND finally break through into Pamplona, where RP was turtling, after having defeated a few GS stacks. War over, RP retreats to Vox's former lands, peace signed.

Now it's a building race into the industrial age.

Cool, that's exactly the kind of game I enjoy. But I guess, from looking at the map, that ND, GoW and ourselves are pretty much advantaged, while RP, Vox and GS are almost sure to lose the race. I suppose there will be some backstabbing at some point.
