Where'd my OT thread go? Support Apolyton, buy Civilization III: Complete

I started a thread in the OT asking the Apolyton old-timers what it used to be like here at Apolyton. That was yesterday. Now the thread is nowhere to be seen! It was just an innnocent question, and had no objectionable material in it. The only reason that I can think of that it could have been deleted is that, while I was sleeping, everyone started spamming in it. That, however, seems unlikely. So, why is the thread gone?

Full PM-box? Change here!

Sure I've heard of it, but I thought that it only affected large threads.

Put an end to popups!

Yeah, it turned into a spam fest later on.
Whenever that happens now, I just delete them without giving a message that I have.
Since I'm trying to clean up the spam, the last thing we need is a thread explaining that the spam has been deleted.

And thanks for posting this thread where it belongs... At least somebody understands the rules

No... If somebody had, I might have just closed it so you could still see it.

But nahhhh... the spammers were out last night. I deleted a bunch of threads

Support Apolyton, pre-order Civilization IV

When you delete a thread, what happens to the post counts of the people who posted there? Do they go down by the number of posts of theirs that were deleted?

Not likely... although if that was possible it may well be a good anti-spam measure. Maybe if we delete the coffee shops we'll see just how much of a poster Mao really is...
