Turn 190: 750 AD Suffering from ads?

Save is here. I'm not sure if I can play it tonight, it will probably have to wait to tomorrow morning, at which time I can do it without time pressure.

Start

- Cyclone builds worker. Starts worker
- BB builds lib, starts uni
- SS builds worker, starts worker
- OG builds market, starts uni
- Inchoff builds harbor, starts market
- WoC builds aqua, starts Iron Works

- 11g, elec in 2 turn @0%, 0 bpt, 417 gpt. Next turn at 100% will give us elec at the start of turn 192.
- 37 workers

Moves
In general, the specific worker moves are not covered anymore, it gets too tedious. Only important stuff is mentioned.

Operation improve WoC:
- RRs on WoC 22, 2, 21, 11, 1, 36(iron), 7, 77(last two in use by Inchon for the next turn)
- 2 workers start on 33(mountain)
- mines on 2 and 21.
The rest is for next turn, as we'll add 4 or 5 workers and need more improved tiles.

- Galley2 moves 4444. Moves close to Antarctica, will do the missed tiles to the North on the way back.
- our Southern most galley (off the Lego coast) Moves 2, encounters Golden Hind (caravel) at 11. Moves another 22(GH at 77)
- our Western most galleon moves 8866 to uncover some more fog. Encounters Lego's Francis Drake at 66. Caravel is positioned so that it can spot all Southern traffic if it moves 2 tiles South and North each turn.
- Northern most galley moves 222. Ends with a GoW galleon(Black Pearl) at 2, and a Lego caravel(Leonardo da Vinci) at 26.
- last Galleon (to the South of Stormia) moves 7778. Goes towards Elipolis, passing by ND's scouts (if any are present). Not a lot to do with this one, all fogged areas are going to be uncovered soon by other boats.

workforce shuffles
- Cyclone set back to ideal pattern (needs this every turn)
- OG moves one desert to coast, and one hill to coast
- BB uses that hill instead of coast. Running -1fpt, but in two turns EotS can use a fp from Tempest, which will open the irr plain for BB.
- WW uses the free desert instead of coast

- hill and mined grass swapped again between Inchon and WoC. Taking into account the precise layout of WoC next turn, it won't help Inchon anyway... so better to not let that one shield go to waste. (as happened last turn). I don't think it mattered to have done it last turn.

- D-ville temporary runs at -2fpt to get the uni 6 turns faster. I'm not sure on this, but I think I can compensate later, and have too little time to throughly think it out. Will get back to this next turn. Right now, it is save from starvation.

- WoC keeps its current layout, but improved now. I don't think its new citizen will land on a mountain next turn if we keep it open, so that mountain goes to Inchoff instead (for 1 turn)

- with one more RR in SS, it can give the plain back to Hurricane... should look into this.

Current Builds

Eli : Aqua in 5
Inchon : Aqua in 10
WoC : Iron Works in 28
Inchoff : market in 20
Diss : uni in 11
Santa Ana : market in 12
Blizzard : market in 6
Monsoon : Uni in 7
Arashi : ToE in 7 via Palace (needs one more RR for eta of 6. RR has to be done in less then 2 turns (preferably 2 turns, of course, to not waste a single shield)
WW : aqua in 12
Tempest : bank in 2
SS: worker in 2(shows 3)
Hurricane : bank in 12
OG : uni in 29
EotS : Hoover Dam in 16 (via Sistine)
BB : uni in 16
Cyclone: worker in 1
Tornado : Uni in 10
Typhoon : Harbor in 8
Sufa : market in 17

Other
- decreased gold to 414 gpt by workforce shuffling maximised shields instead...

- sent ToG and Magnestism accepted to RP

- no change in tech situation. Lego is 1 or 2 turns from discovering Steam. 13 turns to ToE at least. Vox has not given Nat to anyone yet.

- on F11, we jumped in literacy from 44 to 47%, enough to pass two others. We're currently #2 (after Lego?)

- Culturally, we're slowing down, while GoW has been gaining (Lego as well, but considering their GA not by much). This means we're still generating most cpt, but others are catching up.

Next Turn

- see if Lego has Steam yet

MM for next turn which I overlooked now: swap one sea from Tornado with a coast from Sufa. an extra 2 gpt, or 1 bpt...

Support Apolyton, buy Call to Power 2

BTW, anybody is more the welcome to try some MM of his own, after a while you start to think in circles, missing new opportunities. Any input is welcome!

good job

I wonder why vox hasn't passed natl on to lego, are they waiting to make sure that we don't get a tech depreciation, in case we are likewise researching?

It could just be indifference. I would think they are all well aware of our research path.

Tired of ads?

I think it has more to do with decreased cost: With Lego allready having the tech, we could argue that Nat is 10% cheaper.

Also, I'm not sure they know ND is doing Nat as well. Or GoW.
