Eliit - in terms of play order - an east to west time zone ordering (based on the time of day players are most likely to play) has worked best in other games.

As you are setting up the game - I suggest establish the order - then simply have you be the player to pay first.

So, if the optimum play order is a, b, c, d, and you are c, then the the players would be ordered c, d, a, b.

Just a suggestion for faster play - and you may have already taken care of it.

Sorry to start interruptions already but Monday is Arbour Day so I'm going to be visiting friends this weekend. I'll be able to play Saturday morning and again from Monday evening.

Honestly, I don't expect that we will play EVERY weekend, especially when summer comes

I believe we all have to upgrade to v1.20 now.
But DO NOT upgrade to 1.22 because it cannot load older saves.

Also, who has the turn?

1.20 has problems. I say we do not upgrade until they are worked out. That is what other games are doing.

Eliit - the other thing about pbem games. Every now and then you have to pm or e-mail someone who appears to be holding the game up. They might not have gotten the save, or opened it and forgot about it. (I know - both have happened to me. )

So - there is no hard and fast rule about who should do the reminding.

And if folks are going to be away - they should post as such - and if possible - get a replacement if they are going to be away more than a week.

very sorry, I've been away the last week, thought I could use the old computer at my parents house but apparently its crashed so bad that I couldnt be bothered. had stuff to do other than play around with it. so I didnt get to post official announcements or play civ for over a week. I'm working on downloading the save now, but hotmail is putting up a fight...

LzPrst says he cannot have 1.15 anymore and suggested that we restart the game with 1.22 patch. We now have to decide what should we do - restart or replace LzPrst.
