Well XXII got past 50 posts, so Here's the new one.

It's Friday, I'll be at Ming's around 7 central time. Looking for a 2x1x game, but I will play 1x1x game if I have to. Post here or icq Ming if interested.

You might want to consider a 1X1X1X setting. The extra 1X stands for only 1 city allowed .

We would love to have you Paul. It's about time you played with other people that are all out to get you.

A buddy of mine that is new to it also may be available. We like to play with 4 or 5. If Supersneak plays we should have 4. I'll ICQ you when I get to ming's. 2x1x is a whole new game.

(1 city apiece kinda makes it hard to field attack forces. )

My wife just got a small 'surgery' so I feel that I should not play games while she's in such a condition. I'll skip this time. Hopefully I can 'negotiate' another day with her, since there's not many people around on Wednesdays .

OK i am back and in Toronto but to all you civers out there, Good old War4ever is back and ready for action. I will be internet connected on Sept 2 which is a saturday....

ps Ming i created this account because i couldn't remember my War4 password, however i should have it stored in MY computer so i will use that login in about 10 days time. Thanks again and i can't wait to get back in the thick of things

Well for those in the US it's a three day weekend.
So I should be avail to play fri sat and sun evening.
It might be a good opportunity to actually continue a game.

Is it possible to do multi-player without ICQ? I've tried four or five times now, and I can't get this thing to work on anything resembling a consistant basis. I keep getting an invalid page fault, and when I requested help from their tech people, they just keep telling me to download it again and reinstall it.

It's real tough because the ip # is passed and then you let people know when the game is hot, and if you have to restart due to techs, you have to let them know when it's hot again. Posting here isn't real time enough, especially if you have to restart multiple times. And if you get booted from a game, icq is real handy to let people know you still exist and that you got booted.
It has been done, but it's a real pain in the AS*

Lucky break to start a game last night. I look forward to continuing it on Friday.

Not a great start for terrain, but I started in the middle of a 4 hut pattern that delivered..
1. non-horse
2. a city, uncovered by my second settler, (risky but it paid off)
3. 100 bucks
4. attached horse.
All in all a very fortunate set of huts.

I settled for a non-optimum capital, but after searching around, I'm glad I strarted it early where I did since their wasn't much else around close.

See you all Friday night around 6:30 central.

Nope, dont' have any other instant messenger. I'll have to see if I can get one of my computer literate friends take a look at it. It's really annoying me that I can't get the thing to work. It's probably something simple, but I just am not seeing it...
