During the year 510 AD our people unanimously accepted to build a massive new addition to our splendorous Palace. Architects from all over the nation came forth to draw plans for the most imposing construction project our capital has yet seen. A large number of these architects suggested that our palace build towards the sky by the addition of a new level where the Consuls and Ministers would organize their sinful depraved drunken orgy parties executive affairs. Others wanted our Palace to sprawl across its endless gardens where our leaders and citizens could frolic with cheap women and expensive wine enjoy the serene calm of our landscape.
However, it was ultimately decided that four massive spires would best represent the might of our growing empire, but more importantly, reflect on the wise leaders which in the past have led our nation to our present glory. Thus, construction of the Pillars of Virtue™ began. The Pillars of Virtue™ are named as such because they each represent one aspect of the moral bedrock which sustains our nation. They are also built in honor of our past Consuls, each which has contributed an individual virtue to our national psyche. These are:
The Pillar of Honor. In honor of our Consul notyoueither. It takes a wise and steadfast leader to guide our nation from a struggling jungle province into a mighty continental empire. nye gave our people the will and resolve to rise into greatness.
The Pillar of Order. In honor of our Consul Vondrack. No nation can progress without order. Order and efficiency have made our nation what it is today: always a cut above the rest.
The Pillar of Humility. In honor of our Consul MrWhereItsAt. Leadership must come always with a human face. It must seek to identify with the people, and to always be receptive to opinions and dissent. MrWIA was an example to us all in this regard.
The Pillar of Sacrifice. In honor of our Consul BigFree. A leader must not just have the capacity, but also the will to lead his nation to glory. For good or bad it takes an exceptional leader to give his all for the team. Because of his exceptional zeal, this virtue was best exemplified by BF.
If is from those which have led us before, that our drive to direct this nation is inspired. From these great people we have learned to be what we are today. May this be a small reminder to everyone, that their deeds, no matter how deeply buried in the past, will never be forgotten.
* Master Zen hereby inaugurates the Pillars of Virtue in the Imperial Palace of Apolyton.
