quote: Rubin says:
You there?
Chairman Voltaire says:
Indeed I am
Chairman Voltaire says:
Hello
Rubin says:
hmm
Rubin says:
you mentioned turn-chat in the CPC
Chairman Voltaire says:
Indeed
Chairman Voltaire says:
Tomorrow perhaps
Chairman Voltaire says:
Or Saturday
Chairman Voltaire says:
Whenever is good for people.
Chairman Voltaire says:
Though most likely not tonight.
Chairman Voltaire says:
Not enough people have looked at the turn.
Rubin says:
I might not be available but if you have a few minutes now I can tell you of my thoughts?
Chairman Voltaire says:
By all means, but also be sure to post them as well so others can see it.
Chairman Voltaire says:
Or better yet.
Chairman Voltaire says:
We'll post this chat afterwards.
Chairman Voltaire says:
Go on.
Rubin says:
Ok, first have a look a my recent post in the CMC: Military Plans (M.Y. 2161) thread
Rubin says:
If you have any questions I'll be delighted to elaborate...
Chairman Voltaire says:
Alright
Chairman Voltaire says:
The important decision to make now is how do we proceed with the war effort.
Chairman Voltaire says:
Open a new front in Data Angel territory.
Chairman Voltaire says:
Or stick with this front.
Rubin says:
Indeed!
Chairman Voltaire says:
I agree with everything else stated, including HongHu's suggestion.
Rubin says:
So do I.
Chairman Voltaire says:
Since we really do not have a much better use for the naval unit transport.
Chairman Voltaire says:
I'm looking at things this way.
Chairman Voltaire says:
The CyCon might be interested in the Data Angel territory, but they cannot afford to send segnificant troops to combat the Angels and involve themselves in a two front war if both the Hive and Drones are attacking from the other front.
Rubin says:
Yes, that is a sound evaluation.
Chairman Voltaire says:
But opening up a second front, which will take time given the fact that the Angels need to fall, may be beneficial since we get them to dispurse their forces.
Chairman Voltaire says:
But we also do the same to our own forces. We seperate ourselves from the Drones.
Rubin says:
That is sound as well.
Rubin says:
The Free Drones are strong, but...
Chairman Voltaire says:
They are, I have little doubt as to our eventualy sucess, rather concenrs are over the efficiency of the operation,.
Chairman Voltaire says:
Which would be the better course of action to take.
Rubin says:
..the main issue is timing. Foreman buster advances very fast and we, the Hive, are not yet fully prepared to to advance at this pace.
Rubin says:
Also, our factions may have different agendas. That is, the Free Drones are offensive while we are less so. At least currently...
Chairman Voltaire says:
The two options seem equal militarely in my eyes, it is how we want to proceed that is in question.
Chairman Voltaire says:
We still have commitements to the Drones.
Chairman Voltaire says:
And they do us.
Rubin says:
If we wait and invade the Data Angels we should be fully prepared for an eastern frontline.
Chairman Voltaire says:
I would like to have it discussed with them to see how we ought to proceed given that this is a join operation.
Chairman Voltaire says:
Good point.
Chairman Voltaire says:
I favor the Angel invasion idea.
Chairman Voltaire says:
For reasons that it gives us more of an oppertunity to develope our forces.
Rubin says:
So do I. Mainly because this gives us time to fully prepare our military campaign and not acting simple support to the Free Drones.
Chairman Voltaire says:
Indeed
Chairman Voltaire says:
Alright, this course of action has my support.
Rubin says:
So, let us just take DBTSVerse, but keep a low profile in this region.
Chairman Voltaire says:
That seems a good approach.
Chairman Voltaire says:
Though we will have to have our forces fully prepared by the time the Angel territory is taken.
Chairman Voltaire says:
We cannot be in the same position as we are now where we have to provide defensive units.
Chairman Voltaire says:
I would like to see it so that as soon as the Angels are down that we are prepared to march toward the CyCon.
Rubin says:
Additionally, I was unaware of these 'new' plans and the CMC was not prepared for further advancements.
Rubin says:
Yes, once Roze is dealt with we should be able to redirect all offensive measures towards the new eastern front!
Rubin says:
Immediately!
Chairman Voltaire says:
Excellent

Turn 2162 done (pre-END TURN): File removed (Edit)
IMPORTANT: Two Drop Infantry units (Liberator) were NOT moved. These may be the ones we need to demonstrate that Caboolture could have been captured this year and hence the University could have been eradicated. Chairman Voltaire, would you make sure that our CMN's are informed immediately?
Two units have been prepared for the Bones Island expedition and a transport is en-route for safe retrieval--should something go wrong.
A single empty Data Angel Transport was found and eliminated near Broken Heart Hill.
Comrade Rubin
