	CMC: Military Plans (M.Y. 2161) Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

Dear Comrades, as Chairman of the Central Military Committee I present you a brief update on our military options:

(1) Our campaign against the University is almost done. It is imperative that our newly captured bases receive adequate troops for defensive purposes. Next year (M.Y. 2161) we should be able to seize the final University settlement in accordance with Foreman buster's plans.

We have the option to advance further toward CyCon settlements via our new bases.

(2) The CyCon is believed to share our interest in the Data Angels' territory. We'll have the option to open a new frontline for invading Datajack Roze's fertile lands in a couple of years.

We have the option to prepare for a full scale air/ground invasion of the Data Angels--giving us a future opportunity to strike CyCon from the west.

(3) Our homeland defenses are being fortified. I suggest we continue to recruit new defensive troops for this task.

(4) We have a few naval vessels including a newly built Cruiser Class Transport. The Central Military Committee requests suggestions on how to utilize these vessels.

(5) Comrade HongHu has suggested an exploration expedition designated for Bones Island. 2-3 airdrop troops (Infantry and rovers; trance/empath) could be dispatched. If the units need fast retrieval we may send the Cruiser Transport to this area.

The Cental Military Committee suggest that we keep most of our production available for military purposes.

We now have a new plan for PEACE. We sent MMI to PEACE last turn and Drones sent PEACE some ecs. So they should be able to rush build a drop colony pod.

They won't be able to occupy DA bases now since they don't have the required units.

My comment on 2162. (It's like the Groundhog day isn't it? We keep coming back to 2161. )

(1) PUT front: We have enough probe once they are moved into position. We may want to build a plasma garrison in each bases especially the coastle base and free the dropped units to the DA front. For now I think each base should have a police, a plasma garrison and a probe. The coastle base should have two probes. We should also retain a couple choppers and a interceptor in the area.

(2) DA front. We need to move the majority of PUT invasion force back to our land and prepare them for DA invasion. I'm also thinking we may want to build an IoD or a Locusts at HongHu KongHu for the purpose of occupying the sea bases.

(3) Homeland defense force. Right now I believe each base should have one police unit. After we get AAA we should upgrade them. The east front bases needs to have at least one probe team and one plasma garrison too. We should also start to patrol the east border using the two penetrators.

(4) We probably want to rush finish the probe foil so that it can be dispatched to infiltrate the CCs.

(5) Bones island. One reason I was thinking about drop colony pod is that there are quite some pods in the island. I hear that if you pop a pod after you have the base, it is more likely to give you good results. Not sure if this is true? I would like to hear some opinions here. Also because of the NTS SP we have 3 populations for any new base. Could give us some nice growth.

(6) PEACE. They will not have sufficient defense at their new bases. I suggest we try to send a couple air units to them.

I just took a look at the Drones Embassy. And I was a little surprised to see that CCs are just at the door of that last uni base. Do we need to make a poll about whether we should go with Drones and carve up the CCs or should we let the Drones do it while we prepare the death of Angels?

I have opened our turn. CCs interceptor has destroyed our penetrator and rover besides cabool. (I realize again how important it is to get our own interceptors to the front of the war.)

Buster is offering all techs and map. Should we accept them? Do we need all of them?

I do not see why not, I would recommend taking the techs. The map definitely.

I suggest we aid the Drones to get a foothold in CyCon territory. DBTSVerse Portal might be all that is required to deal with. Confer with Foreman buster if we face any problems invading the base.

Our forces are relatively sparse near this front and I would prefer to focus on the Data Angels and have the Drones conduct their invasion of CyCon without much support from the Hive. It is dangerous to deploy forces to two different frontlines as our combined offensive and defensive strengths are greatly reduced by such a division of forces.

Surely, Foreman buster understands and respects that the Hive is an autonomous faction that cannot be a simple marionette to the Free Drones. Let us finish the University campaign by relieving the University of Caboolture. My estimates are that we are not fully prepared to consider advancing further via former University territory.

I agree. Arnelos, would you be able to convey this to the Drones? Or I can do it informally. Furthermore I wonder if it is worth it if after we take DBTS we offer a peace treaty to the CCs outside of the game.

Comrades, be sure to utilize our superior aircraft for reconnaissance tasks near all our borders. Our defenses are relatively weak and we have no other early warning system. Also, I believe New Moscow can be designated secondary base of operation for the Data Angel invasion.

I was hoping Rubin would as well since I do not know what exactly our military plans are. We are past the deadline but I have spoken to Tass so we are fine.

IMPORTANT: Two Drop Infantry units (Liberator) were NOT moved. These may be the ones we need to demonstrate that Caboolture could have been captured this year and hence the University could have been eradicated. Chairman Voltaire, would you make sure that our CMN's are informed immediately?

Two units have been prepared for the Bones Island expedition and a transport is en-route for safe retrieval--should something go wrong.

A single empty Data Angel Transport was found and eliminated near Broken Heart Hill.

I've informed Tassadar of our capability to wipe out the University this turn. We ought to start discussion as to how we will proceed from here. I suggest we offer the University an opportunity to surrender, this is a sound diplomatic move. More to come later as to the specific of how we should go about doing this.

Frankly, I'm ready to eradicate the University once and for all. Diplomacy won't do much good now, and somehow I doubt they'd be willing to consider, past interaction in mind.

I'm for giving them a chance to surrender. If they do then we will let the PUT live but they have to swear a pact to serve us. Otherwise they have to self-destruct. But if we are going to do this we need to send the message out. Where is Arnelos? Has tass checked our turn and decided that we will be able to take the base?

I'm going to need an update on our present situation so I actually UNDERSTAND issues before talking about them with any other team. Sorry for the need of that.

We have essentially defeated the University. This turn had we wanted to we could have destroyed them (but given the bug which results in the loss of a turn for another player we cannot do that). We have the power to now order the University to self-destruct. But what we want to do is give them the opportunity to surrender to us since it makes us look better diplomatically. Essentially a "surrender or die" scenario, but with more eloquent diplomatic language [your department].
