	Magique: the Gathering (no, I am not insane) Remove this text

I've been told that production has been itching for years to update the card back and with this mandated change, we will for the first time ever do so. This does create the problem of mixing different card backs for casual and tournament play. To solve this problem, Wizards of the Coast has decided to run a limited print run of each previously published Magique: the Gathering expansion with the new card back. These new expansions will be printed once a month until all the old sets have been duplicated. This should take just under four years. New expansions of Magique: the Gathering will still be produced on the same schedule. "I understand that this news might come as a shock, but be assured that Wizards the Coast is doing everything it can to guarantee that Magique: the Gathering remains the premier trading card game. On further reflection, I agree.

Orlando Magic can't copyright a commonly used word that has been in the English language for over a hundred years before they existed.

Otherwise I'm heading to the patent office and copyrighting "the".

The Unhinged thing is tougher to call.

In the article, Rosewater says it's not real. But since he's saying it's not real on April Fool's Day, does that cast doubt on it?

If they announce a real thing on April Fool's Day, will everyone dismiss it as a joke and then be shocked when they walk into Games World and it's on the shelf?

Is there a better way to announce a joke expansion than in the form of a joke on the jokingest day of the year?

There was a joke by Dennis Miller, IIRC, that went like this:

The Washington Bullets today announced that they are changing their name, because their name is so synonimous with violence.

Practically certain Unhinged exists now; Rosewater said we'd find out for sure on Monday. Well, if it already didn't exist, then why tell us we'd find out for sure? We'd already been told so.

It should be noted that the "You Decide!" prank was pretty cool too. They had those "You Decide!" polls up for the last two weeks or so, with no explanation or nuttin'. Perfect camoflauge as some corporate drone's idea to add interactivity to the site.

I also liked "You Decide!" The funniest part was watching everyone go insane for two weeks trying to figure out what the heck it was.
