We need a replacement player for the C3C PBEM Tournament Game #5.

I'll fully admit that the position you would be replacing is... well... it doesn't have much hope of victory (we're past 3000 BC and the capital hasn't even reached 2 pop points yet... and he lost his only worker). That said, it might be slightly imbalancing if the position was just abandoned outright.

So if you're willing to at least play the position for what it's worth, please respond.

Arnelos, I could probably play that position. Heck, I'm adequately massochistic that I actually *like* playing losing positions (at least a little).

Hi! I need somebody... a replacement, whatever you want to call it... technically, its for May 25 or so through August 27, but more than likely, it will be permenent... We need a replacement player for one of the positions in the Seafaring #1 PBEM.

The premise of the PBEM game was to play all 7 of the Seafaring civilizations. The 8th civilization is an AI civ (Babylon).

WhiteBandit, who is playing Carthage, wants to relinquish his position and so we're looking for a replacment player.

I will warn you that WB seems to think that his position is unwinnable. Having SEEN his position with my scouting curragh, however, I would disagree (*especially* given his awesome Numidian Mercenary UU) - but perhaps that's just me.

Anyhow, some background might be helpful (though it might give a few things away to other players in the game who do not yet have contact with WB):

* WB has some fairly nice grassland in his start, but it's relatively tiny and completely surrounded by a TON of mountains. On the other side of those mountains is to be found the game's leading player with more cities and tech than anyone else in the game (courtesy of his expansionist trait this early in the game - which I presume netted him a free settler along with some tech).

WB also has contact with two other civilizations, both on other islands (this IS the Seafaring PBEM and being played on an archiapelago map ).

The current year of the game is 2230 BC (Turn 39), so it's still pretty early. Most civs have 2-3 cities.

Please post here to let me/us know if you'd like the position.
