Sorry, unchecking 'Automatically Load Images' in Edit->Preferences->Advanced is the way I do it, especially for sites that use UGO.

I managed to set the Proxomitron to keep the ads on, but kill all OnLoad and OnUnload popups. That works best for me. (I had the ads off for about a month after Black Saturday, as a form of (futile) protest...)

I'm keeping the Proxomitron software available on my drive. But, I set it only to kill pop-ups (and allow a couple privacy options). I see the regular ads just fine, though, and I don't mind those.

A thank you has been sent. However, I took the opportunity to gripe about the sexist and misogynistic ads that UGO keeps feeding us! Hey, what do you expect from a Cub Scout Leader?

Glad the pop up is gone. I wish that they would send more legitimate ads. Hell, when you look at the Age FAQ, it's obvious that the majority of the ACS users probably have more than a couple of coins to rub together!! Maybe be we'll see Gary Coleman selling a FORD Mustang soon....

My teletubbie thread was not to ask about the fate of the pop-ups but to warn about the problems that they were causing to sites that use frames here in Apolyton. The thread was closed without any comment, which leads me to think that whoever closed it did not totally read its content . I post this again because I think this is important, and just to make sure that you have read it.
