The Sims - boring, plain boring.

Starcraft was on the list some timeago, but no longer is - I don't emjoy the RTS per se, but I must admire the effort put into the campaign, making the races so very different, etc.

Warcraft - a flawed RTS, IMO.

Any of the Barbie's playhouse or Barney's magical adventrue games pretty much sucked.

Starcraft sucked, but I loved Warcraft 2. AOE 2 was the shizz though

I forgot to mention that Diablo series SUCKED, Quake was pretty bad too. I never tried Balck and White, b/c everybody said it sucked so much.

I don't mind shooters as long as they have a story to tell--Half-Life is the bare minimum here. NOLF, NOLF2, and Deus Ex are outstanding.

But even if I don't "respect" the game per se, it can still be fun--witness Unreal Tournament.

The point of having a woman as the pc was so you could run around and stare at her ass all day long. That said I enjoyed Tomb Raider very much.

Actually I dont really care for the Tomb Raider series if Im alone playing them, but if someone else is playing I'll sit around to watch and help them solve the puzzles.

Actually, KOTOR is an excellent game. If anything, its better on PC. GTA 3 and GTA Vice City are pretty good as well.

I have to agree with Imran, you can't completely generalise here. Halo is great, and lots of people like KotOR.

I hate as much as Skanky does the consolification of great games like Deus Ex, but it's not true that all consolified games are pants.

KOTOR is a PC game, using the same engine as NWN. The console version is ported from the PC, but just happened to release first.

Well at the risk of upsetting many of the people here that's a dumb attitude to take.

There are many many average or bad FPS games that are released that anyone can, in good faith, call pants. But to lump the games that stand out above the pack with those bad games, just because you don't like the genre, just shows an ignorance of that sphere of gaming.

If you don't like FPS fine, that's your prerogative. But if so you are not best placed to assess the merits of games within that genre.

Fair enough, you can call it a popular game you have no respect for, but you (and this goes for anyone else making silly blanket statements) cannot call it pants with authority unless you have played the game and others within the genre for comparison.

I know you like RPGs, and have played a lot. If you post you dislike a certain RPG given your familiarity with the genre this is clearly a different kind of statement than not liking a game in a genre which, by your own admission, you do not play.

I played it enough to be able to criticise it with knowledge gained from actually playing it rather than just making blanket statements in ignorance. I will never criticise outright a game I have not played, even if I post that I do not personally like the genre.
